Teachers must provide personally identifiable information to use the site. Personal information provided by teachers may be used to verify employment status. In addition, personal information provided by teachers may be disclosed to principals, teacher colleagues, superintendents, or other employees of local, state or federal systems.
Only registered teachers are permitted to administer rewards points. Access to administer a teacher’s rewards points is controlled via that teacher’s personal username and password, which was established during the registration process. A teacher's name, school, grade level and school address may be displayed online to student users.
When you register for your online LearningEarnings.com account, we ask for only as much information deemed necessary for your teachers to identify you in the LearningEarnings.com system. For students over the age of 13, this includes your first name and last name, school and grade. In accordance with COPPA, we do not obtain first and last name information for students under the age of 13. Rather, initials will be obtained to register students under the age of 13. During the registration process, you are also asked to create a screen name and password. You should not use any personally identifiable information as your username (for example, do not use your full name). Teachers will use students’ registration information to identify his or her students in the LearningEarnings.com site and to administer rewards points.
If you contact us by e-mail, we use your e-mail address (which is personally identifiable information) only to respond to your specific request or question, after which the address is deleted. If we ask for your parent’s e-mail address, we keep that information and use it only for the purpose of providing notices to parents and requesting parental consent as required under COPPA.
By contacting us at email@example.com, your parent may review any personally identifiable information, if any, we have collected from you, request corrections, ask that we delete any personally identifiable information from our databases, or refuse further collection or use of your information.
Remember to be smart online. Do not give out your full name, e-mail address, home address, telephone number or any other personal information that would enable someone to contact you either online or offline, without first asking your parent or guardian for permission.
FOR ALL VISITORS
All personally identifiable information collected by us is only used to provide services related to the LearningEarnings.com website. We do not share your personally identifiable information with any third parties for marketing purposes.
